Swivel Sweeper Review – #3 of 3

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

This is #3 of 3 vids I did on my Swivel Sweeper. This vid shows the break down of the unit. First I remove the dirt tray which just pops out. Then, I remove the plastic frame which exposes the 4 rotating brushes and 4 corner brushes. Then, I turn the unit on with everything exposed. I then show the on-off switch and 7.2 volt battery.

Things to know… the sweeper has no wheels, just gliders, so it literally glides over surfaces making it effortless to push around.

The motor has an auto-shut off in case the rotating brushes get jammed.

Battery charging instructions are vague at best. Since there’s no battery status indicator or auto shut off on the charger, you can easily ruin your battery if you forget it’s on the charger. This is probably why so many people have battery complaints, so I would advise to monitor your battery status the best you can.

The only real negative I have so far is that the rotating brushes get lots of stringy things, such as hair and carpet parts wrapped around them. While it’s not imperative that you clean the brushes every time you use the sweeper, you probably should clean them often in order to get peak performance. They supply you with a special cutting tool to make the job easier. It does take some effort and time to clean it all out. Even so, in my opinion, it’s still a good, useful product, especially for under 30 clams.
